Can Never Shoot Enough
Trapshooting Practice Information:
Practice begins on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This practice will be preceded by a chili feed and mandatory parent meeting/information session. All subsequent practices will be on Sunday’s from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and will conclude in late May. Once conference shoots begin, we will ALSO practice on Tuesdays after school from 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM. All practices are held at Papillion Gun Club which is located at 16712 South 87th Street. From east or central Omaha — take 84th Street south as far as you can (approximately 4 miles south of Highway 370), 84th street curves right (west) at county garages. Take next left (south) {large Hawaiian Village sign} go as far south as you can go.
From west Omaha —take Highway 50 south to Platt view road (this is on the north edge of Springfield, you will see the Springfield Soccer Fields), turn left (east) approximately five miles, take right (south) at 87th Street {large Hawaiian Village sign} go as far south as you can go.
In order to practice with the team, shooters must adhere to the following criteria:
- Shooter must have completed his hunter safety program.
- Only shooters and volunteers are allowed at shooting station. — everyone else must stay behind shooting area.
- All shooters must help in set up, loading targets in trap houses, scoring, clean up, and closing down traps.
- We will practice every Sunday from 12:00 PM?Äì 4:00 PM and Tuesdays after school from 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM.
- If snowing and 20 degrees wind chill or colder we will cancel practice.
- Car pooling is available. Please ask one of the coaches to help organize a ride for your shooter if necessary.
- Alumni Coaches will be available for mentoring new shooters.
- You are a guest of Papillion Gun Club — leave the place better than you found it!
- Practice fees are paid for in the initial sign up fees.
